The Jam Pedlar makes and sells jams, chutneys and fruit cheeses, and delivers them directly to customers’ homes.
Orders can be placed online or over the telephone. Payment is taken at the time of ordering.
Once we receive your order, we will review it and process it for delivery. If we notice any missing information or anticipate any issues, we will get in touch with you to ask further questions.
We deliver to addresses in the following North London postcode area: N15, N16, N17, N22; and to boaters on the River Lea between Ponders End lock and Hackney Wick. If your delivery address is not within these areas, we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund the full amount of your order. We do not do postal delivery at present.
Your payment is taken as you place your order so you will always be charged at the rate advertised at the point of ordering. There is no extra charge for delivery.
We take great pride in the quality and condition of our product and it should reach you in the best possible condition. When you receive your order, please open it and inspect it as soon as possible. If for any reason you aren’t happy with it, please call Moira straight away on 07989 264527 and/or if possible email pictures to email@example.com. She will do her best to put it right. If you’d like a replacement order, we can arrange that for you or if you would rather just have your money back, we can do that too.
Likewise if the delivery bag/box or the jar has been damaged during delivery, please call Moira as soon as possible and if possible email pictures. Risk of damage or deterioration to the goods passes to you, as the buyer, on delivery so do contact us as soon as possible. No claim for damage or deterioration after delivery can be accepted unless we’re informed straight away. Nor can we accept any responsibility for quality deterioration if we’ve been provided with an incorrect address, or if the recipient has gone away or is unable to accept delivery.
We accept payment online by Maestro, Solo, Electron, Visa, and MasterCard. Your payment is processed via Square, a fully authorised Payment Service which ensures that all your information remains totally confidential. In fact we never see any of the card numbers ourselves.
Payment is taken as you place your order and if the payment does not authorise successfully, your order will not be successfully processed. Please check that you receive not only a confirmation of your order but also a confirmation of your payment by email. If you have not received one of these, your order may not be placed successfully.
If you wish to cancel an order you need to contact us as soon as possible. You may cancel an order without penalty as long as we receive notification before the order has been processed for delivery. The Jam Pedlar reserves the right not to accept or to cancel any order once accepted, without penalty.
The Jam Pedlar retains all rights of ownership and possession of the goods until full payment has been received.
Once we receive your order we will contact you by email or phone, within 24 hours, to arrange a delivery.
During the Covid-19 pandemic we will agree with you a mutually safe and convenient method of delivering your jam. This may require a drop-off point to be agreed such as your doorstep or entrance to your building. We will aim to call you when we arrive and let you know the package has been delivered to the agreed point.
Once you have been notified and the package has been dropped off, as agreed, the jam package becomes your responsibility. We do not take responsibility should any jam package go missing after delivery.
Delivery within the North London postcodes N15, N16, N17 and N22; and to boaters on the River Lea between Ponders End lock and Hackney Wick, is free of charge. Orders outside these areas can be arranged but please use our contact form or email firstname.lastname@example.org before placing your order, to ensure that delivery is possible.
