Based on a Nigella Lawson recipe, this is a delicious combination of soft-dried figs and black olives, with a splash of marsala for added luxury. Result: a gorgeous, rich spread that pairs well with sharp cheeses. (Or, if you’re anything like me, you may just want to eat it on its own straight out of the jar…! )
As the ingredients are more expensive than those of my other products, the price is slightly higher. But it’s worth it. Really. Think of it as a luxury product.
Ingredients: soft-dried figs (incl. potassium sorbate), black olives (incl. salt, oil, lactic acid, calcium chloride, sorbic acid), red wine vinegar, soft dark brown sugar, marsala (incl. sulphites), fennel seed, cinnamon, cloves. Prepared with 38g figs and 27g olives per 100g.
